ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday demanded to declare the appointment of Pakistan’s Ambassador to US Ali Jahangir as void.
Sources said that PTI central information secretary Fawad Chaudhry wrote a letter to nominated caretaker prime minister Nasirul Mulk in which he stated that there was waves of concern among the nation with the appointment of Ali Jahangir Siddiqui.
The PTI further urged the caretaker PM to declare Ali Jahangir Siddiqui s appointment as Pakistan s Ambassador to the US null and void.
Chaudhry stated that Siddiqui is a business partner of outgoing Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and his political affiliation and loyalty is with Sharif family, adding that he has not been sent to US for national interest or US-Pakistan relations but instead is being sent on purely private agenda.
The letter further stated that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is investigating mega corruption cases against Siddiqui.
